Glide is the first single from Psychic Powers new record “Infinity”
On “Glide” Psychic Powers goes to the dance beats of the early 90s, and combines them with its strong songwriting style. Psychic Powers has been releasing limited but strong songs ever since the release of their “Frozen EP” on RCRD LBL and “Wellington” on Geographic North.
After a two month collaboration between Ale (Languis, Dublab) and Nik (Over The Atlantic, Ladyhawke), “Glide” is one of the songs that came from those sessions. As a “B side” for this release Psychic Powers included the song “Blue Icing”, which is not included in the album. Blue Icing also continues with the idea of late 80s/early 90s dance beats, but more on the rave dance aspect of it, rather than on the floating Madchester vibe that “Glide” has.
